ANSWER: Have you checked in with the shelters and other kitty rescue places in your area? Here are some contact numbers and web site addresses: Greater Androscoggin Humane Society in Lewiston is located at 55 Strawberry Ave. (gahumane.org, 207-783-2311.  Midcoast Humane Society is located at 30 Range Road in Brunswick (midcoasthumane.org, 207-449-1366). A Paw in the Door is located in Bath. (pawinthedoor.org, 207-751-4131).

Most shelters are operating by appointment only because of the pandemic, so please call ahead.

ANSWER: In the Rolodex for masons, I have Giroux & Family Masonry at 207-577-8117; Specialty Stonework at 207-899-6177 and Paul Currier Masonry at 207-782-9910. However, you may want to find a local handyman since it sounds like a pretty small job.

Remember, when requesting repairs such as this, it’s important to let us know what town you live in. I won’t publish your location if you ask me not to, but it helps to narrow the search and if published, it makes it easier and faster for someone to decide if they can come to your aid.

ANSWER: Pinball & Juke Box Repair of Maine can help you with the juke box. The number is 207-332-1310. They may even be able to help with the player piano or know someone who does. The closest place I can find that could help you with that is in New York. I’m hoping someone out in Sun Spots Land knows something I do not.
