GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. – Dr. Roger A. Spugnardi, 79, of Green Valley, Arizona, passed away May 15, 2021, while in hospice at La Posada in Green Valley, Arizona.
He was born July 3, 1941, the first born son of Nicholas and Claire (Fortier) Spugnardi.
Roger grew up in Auburn, Maine, attended local schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1959.
He went on to Gorham Teachers College now home of USM, then to Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan acquiring his Ph.D. in education.
Roger was teacher, principal and superintendent in Maine schools until his retirement to Arizona.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Roger leaves behind his wife, Linda, his daughter, Mia Darling and her two sons, Jake and Aiden; son, Scott, his wife Denise and their children, Amanda, Timothy and Matthew; brothers, Roy and his wife Mary, Thomas and his wife Helen, and his sister, Louise (Spugnardi) Chicoine; cousins, nieces and nephews.
Private burial will take place later in the year.
