Flower communion

WEST PARIS — First Universalist Church of West Paris will hold a Flower Communion on June 20, led by The Rev. Fayre Stephenson. At this last service of our church year, we’ll tell the story of the origins of the Flower Communion and we will celebrate our own Flower Communion. You are invited to bring flowers from your garden but, don’t worry, if you don’t have a flower garden, there will be plenty of flowers to share.

Society meets

WEST PARIS — The Finnish American Heritage Society of Maine will hold it’s monthly meeting Sunday June 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. Larry and Carol Labossiere will share details of their trip to Africa after a brief meeting.  The public is invited to attend.

OHHS 50th

PARIS — The Oxford Hills Class of 1971 is very pleased to announce its 50th class reunion will be held on August 21st from 1 -7 p.m. This event will be hosted at the home of Kerry and Lisa Stevens. Their address is 267 Alpine Street, South Paris, Maine. Dress will be very casual.

Finger food will be provided from 1 – 3 p.m. Steak, chicken and sides will be served for dinner, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Bar, beverages, games and prizes, will all be available to enjoy. This event will be held rain or shine, as a large tent will be on site. Any classmates, who are interested in attending, please RSVP to kstevens0@roadrunner.com.

Historical Society

HEBRON — The first open program of the Hebron Historical Society planned for Tuesday, June 22, and will feature Maine history writer Mary Morton Cowan who will speak on her book “Captain Mac, the life of Artic explorer Donald MacMillan.”

The program will be held at the Hebron Town Office  351 Paris Road, following a brief membership meeting at 7 p.m. The public is invited; masks will only be required for those not COVID-19 vaccinated.
