MANCHESTER, N.H. – Donald E. Harkins, 78, of Manchester, N.H. passed away at home on June 8, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lewiston, Maine on June 7, 1943, he was a son of the late Edward and Lucille (Bolduc) Harkins. He shared 29 years of marriage with his wife, Karen (Hennequin) Harkins.
Donald spent the first half of his life in Maine, living in both Lewiston and Small Point. In his younger years, he served in both the United States Navy and United States Army. He has resided in Manchester, N.H. for the past 36 years. Donald worked as an electrical engineer in manufacturing for many years, and later in life he owned a landscaping business.
Donald is survived by his wife, Karen Harkins; his daughters, Nancy and Elizabeth Harkins and Kathleen Meteyer; his grandchildren, Nelson, Aaron, Crystal, Hannah and Sean. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Judith Hebert.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately.
