MECHANIC FALLS – Robert “Bob” Bowie, 79, of Mechanic Falls, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Russell Park Manor. Bob was born in Gardiner, Me on April 2, 1942 a son of the late Ernest L. Bowie and Leone (Vanna) Bowie.
Bob worked for many years as a mechanic as well as an auto body repairman. He loved cars and was always tinkering with one or watching racing at Oxford Plains Speedway. Bob was an avid fisherman, going on many adventures with his family an friends.
Bob is survived by his partner Jennifer Parsons, his children Ernest
Bowie and daughter Heather Moon, his sister Mary Vermette of Stores, Conn., a brother Ernest Bowie Jr. and wife Beverly of Portland and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his wife Donna (Dyer), his sisters Shirley and Sandra as well as by his brother John.
The family wishes to thank Russell Park Manor, Market Square and Beacon Hospice for the wonderful care that was provided to Bob.
A funeral service for Bob will be held on Saturday, July 24 at 11 a.m., at the Vineyard Church, 90 Lewiston Road, Mechanic Falls, Maine.
