WEST BETHEL — Locals David Pilgrim and Zach Parsons are aiming to open Mr. Medicinals, a medical cannabis dispensary, sometime this month.

The store is located at 602 West Bethel Road in the building that was formerly the Only Place restaurant. Pilgrim and Parsons have been renovating the building since January.
Anyone over 21 can enter the store and are allowed to buy CBD products, glass pipes and clones, however, people must have a medical marijuana card in order to purchase THC products. The store will sell many different strains of marijuana, which THC percentage ranging between 20 to 32 percent.
Mr. Medicinals will be working with a lot of local caregivers and Pilgrim said they are always open to working with more vendors, too.
Pilgrim also said he plans on offering very competitive prices.
Mr. Medicinals will be carrying products from about 30 different companies. Blue Sky, Kind Farms, Black Tie Cannabis, High Tide, Mermaid Confections, Highly Motivated Farms and 207 Edibles are a few of the companies they will be doing business with.
“What we’re trying to do is work with as many local and bigger companies as possible,” Pilgrim said.

On top of trying to stay local when it comes to business, Pilgrim also plans to help out the community. He said he plans to have a jar out each month for donations to one thing local.

“We’re gonna do a community jar. It’s our way of giving back,” Pilgrim said. “At the end of each month will give the money in the jar to whatever charity is on that jar that month.”
Pilgrim did not list any charities he plans to donate to, but said the jar could also be for something related to one of the locals schools or to help out a family in need.
