JAY – Elliot Rackliff Jr., 79, known to most as “Mickey”, passed away on July 8, 2021. Born June 27, 1942, son of Elliot and Althea Rackliff, he was raised by grandparents, Garfield and Edith Rackliff. He attended school in Industry and graduated Farmington High School.
He worked in shoe shops in Farmington and married the love of his life, Janice Farrington, July 1, 1967. His second love was pulling steers and going to fairs.
Survivors include sister, Mary Decker of Madison; aunt, Betty Butterfield of New Sharon; many cousins, nieces and nephews; Janice’s niece, Monique (Joel) Cunningham and their three children; Janice’s nephew, Marty Farrington and two sons Dakota and Dylan. He was predeceased by his parents; grandparents; brothers, Lynn and Thomas Rackliff; sisters, Gwendolyn Day and Dora Brown; Alan and Penny Farrington, who loved and guided Mickey like parents.
As we say goodbye, you will be missed. Remember we love you.
At Elliot’s request, there will be no visiting or funeral.
