A committee has been formed to study bringing a train to the Lewiston area. Perhaps before getting too far into this venture, the committee should pause and read the children’s story, “The Little Engine That Could.”

In the story the engine is finally able to climb up the mountain and go over its top. Miracle?  No; no passengers.

Maine does not have the population to support a train. Frankly, this venture is a waste of time and taxpayers’ money.
