At least three motor vehicle crashes were reported Friday afternoon in Auburn.

At about 3:30 p.m., Auburn police were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Washington Street near the Maine Turnpike off-ramp in Auburn. Angel Mugizi, 21, of Gray, was traveling southbound on Washington Street when Mugizi failed to stop at a red light, according to police. The 2014 Nissan Versa she was operating collided with a 2019 GMC Sierra traveling southbound, driven by Daniel LePage, 39, of Turner.

There were no injuries reported and the investigation is ongoing.

At the same time, Androscoggin County dispatch received a second call of a separate motor vehicle crash on the Maine Turnpike off-ramp heading onto Washington Street. Maine State Police were dispatched to the scene since the crash occurred on the off-ramp. A state police spokesperson did not immediately respond to an email requesting details.

A third crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. at 1524 Minot Ave. near Coleman’s Collision Center. A 2007 Ford Fusion was traveling behind a 2013 Nissan Frontier when the Frontier, operated by Robert Yaroma, 63, of Minot, stopped in the westbound lane for an unknown reason. The Fusion, operated by Benjamine Michalak, 21, of Mechanic Falls, collided with the Frontier when Michalak did not see that the Frontier had stopped, according to Auburn police.

There were no injuries reported and the Fusion was towed from the scene. Police issued Michalak citations for failure to produce evidence of insurance and failure to register a vehicle.
