LEWISTON — A local man escaped injury Sunday when the car he was driving went off Crowley Road, hit a tree and rolled over, police said.

Kameron Doyon, 24, of Blake Street was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala. He told police an animal jumped out in front of the car, which landed on its roof.

Police were dispatched to 64 Crowley Road at 4:19 p.m., police said.

Doyon managed to free himself from the car before police arrived. There were no passengers.

The car was totaled and towed from the scene, police said.
