Joseph Robert Parise Sr.
RUMFORD – Joseph Robert Parise Sr., 83, of Rt. 232, Rumford, passed away on Saturday July 31, 2021, at home with his loving family by his side. Born on April 22, 1938, son of Josephine Lantaige and Gustave Parise in Rumford. He attended Saint John’s School and graduated from Stephens High School class of “56” then enlisted in the Air Force from 1956 to 1960 as a radar technician. When he returned home he became employed by Oxford Paper/ Bosie Cascade from 1960-1987. Co-owner of Port To Port Imports from 1983 to 2018.
He married Carol Putnam Parise on July 8, 1961.
He was a communicant of The Parish of The Holy Savior, a member of the Snowshoe Club, Eagles, American Legion, Mollyockett Mixers square dancing, Friendship Squares, volunteer fire fighter for Rumford Point Engine 5 and sat on the finance committee for Rumford. Joseph enjoyed spending time on the dance floor with Carol, selling cards, stamps and coins, making Poutine Rappies and spending time at the family camp.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carol Putnam Parise of Rumford, son, Mark Parise of Minot, son, Carl and Rebecca Parise of Lewiston, daughter, Pamela and Richard Boyer of Brockton, Mass.; son, Joseph Jr. and Tracy Parise of Rumford, Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, a son, Norman Parise, three sisters and four brothers.

Visitation Thibault Funeral Home Friday, September 3, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 4, 10 a.m., at The Parish of the Holy Savior, 126 Maine Ave., Rumford.
