Beryl Esther Bonney

WEST PARIS – Beryl Esther Bonney, 91, passed away on Monday August 9, 2021, at home with her loving family and caregivers by her side.

She was born May 29, 1930, in West Paris a daughter of the late Harold and Myrtle (Ryerson) Bonney.

She attended and graduated from the West Paris High School. She worked summers picking beans and at Penley’s Mill. Retired from selling insurance for W.J. Wheeler Company with more than 47 years of dedicated service.

She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Marilyn and brother-in-law, Elmer Ryerson.

Beryl is survived by her niece, Stacy and her husband Rick and grandnephew Ricky Burns and his companion Amanda Finni. All of Spring Hill, Fla.

Beryl enjoyed her time at her camp on Round Pond in Locke Mills, listening to the whistles of passing trains and the calling of loons near sunset, as they nested there seasonally. She also held memories of her past cat Pokey and her special camp cat Gracie Rae, and her “Little boy”

Beryl belonged to the West Paris Universalist Church and Goodwill Fellowship Ladies. She was a member of Community Lakes Association.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Stephens Memorial Hospital, Androscoggin Home Health Care and Hospice, Dr. La Rosa for the many years of serving her health care needs, along with many others care givers that gave support for her to remain at her home throughout this time.

Keeping with Beryl’s wishes, all services are private and at the convenience of the family.
