Jeannette S. Tedford
AUBURN – Jeannette S. Tedford passed away on Aug. 11, 2021. She was born July 10, 1932, in Mechanic Falls. She was the daughter of Earl and Florence (Marston) Strout. Jeannette was educated in Mechanic Falls Schools. She graduated from Mechanic Falls High School in 1950. Jeannette was married to Donald L. Tedford on June 27, 1959 at the Poland Community Church. They moved to Poland in 1964. They lived in a house that Donald had built by himself. Donald passed away in December 1987. Jeannette worked at Water Falls Tissue, did housekeeping for several neighbors and later worked for L.L. Bean for 10 years retiring in 1994. She belonged to the Poland Community Church, a life member of Dwinal Chapter #28, Order of the Eastern Star and a life member of the Poland Historical Society. Jeannette’s hobbies included knitting, doing word (and jigsaw) puzzles, house plants and walking. She is survived by her children, David, Julie and Donna; two grandsons and a great granddaughter. The family would like to thank the Odd Fellows Home for the excellent care she received. A private family service was held. Interment was at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanic Falls. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 26 W. Dwinal Street, Mechanic Falls.
