Originally scheduled for July 25, the first ever Rangeley Fire Department Association Golf Tournament was rescheduled for Sunday, August 15th. Eleven teams were able to play on the perfect summer day and vied for a slew of generously donated prizes including a chance to win a NEW CAR!
The event was created to help the Rangeley Fire Dept. Association Building Fund.
After the eighteen holes were played and the score cards were collected, winners were announced and folks from Rangeley Fire & Rescue, including special guest former Rangeley Town Manager and former Rangeley Fire Chief Tim Pellerin, as well as many other friends and family came and enjoyed some good grillin’ from Ned’s Bakes & BBQ.
Carl & Lisa Symes, both of Rangeley Fire & Rescue coordinated the event and by all accounts it was a smashing success. Carl Symes was enthusiastic about both the turn-out and the support of the community. He was also already looking forward to next year’s event, “A huge thank you to all of the participants and donors! A great success, bigger and better next year!”
