PARIS — The Paris Public Library is holding its third used book sale of the year on Saturday, September 25, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, with an entirely “new” selection of items being offered. Featuring over a dozen tables of used books in good to excellent condition, among the wide variety of types and genres on display, will be a large selection of children’s picture books.
The sale will be held in the driveway between the Paris Public Library and the Paris Town Office. In case of inclement weather, the book sale will be held instead downstairs in the nearby Deering Memorial Community Center. Proceeds from the used book sales help purchase children’s books for the library’s collection. The library is located at 37 Market Square in South Paris, right on Routes 26 and 117.
Due to the generous amount of contributions towards the sales over the past year, the library presently possesses sufficient stock for this sale. Another sale is scheduled for October 30. For more information, please contact the Paris Public Library by calling the library at 743-6994 or emailing [email protected].

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
