Theresa Clabby Card

LEWISTON – Theresa Clabby Card, 94, of Lewiston, died Sept. 13, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 19, 1927 in Lewiston to Patrick and Margaret Madden Clabby. She was educated in Lewiston schools and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1944. She married the love of her life, Kenneth A. Card on Nov. 15, 1952. They raised nine children together.

She worked at the Princess Shop, Paragon Glass, Raytheon, and Grant’s City. She was a member and lector of the St. Patrick Church for many years. She was also a member of the Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed playing Bingo, crocheting, reading, traveling with her sisters, going to Native American Pow Wows and collecting artifacts, and trying her luck on scratch tickets. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Theresa is survived by her seven children, Kenneth J. Card and wife Donna, Irene Martin and husband Normand, Joseph Card and companion Jane LaPointe, Edward Card, Margaret Doyon and husband Paul, Regina Craw and husband Gard, and Wanda Cloutier and companion David Hanscom; grandchildren Clayton Card and companion Dusty-Lyn, Tyler Card and wife Erin, Caleb Card, Jacob Martin and wife Ginger, Nathan Martin and wife Marcia, Michael Martin and wife Lesley, Heather Rouillard and husband Justin, Christopher Cloutier and fiancee Jessica, Ashley Shaw and husband Ryan, Emily Cloutier and companion Stefan, and Justin Doyon and wife Samantha; great-grandchildren Kyzer, Marley, and Marigold Card, Ella, Trenton, Lucas, Wyatt, Abigail, and Lila Martin, Taylor and Evan Rouillard, Kendall Cloutier, Jared and Ava Francis, John Doyon, Jensen and soon to be baby boy, Shaw; brother, John Clabby and sister, Patricia Kelly.

She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters Margaret Chandonnet, Catherine Landry, Mary Bird, Julia Terpstra, Anne Clabby, her two brothers, Francis Clabby, Bernard Clabby; and her sons William and Martin Card.

The family would like to thank the Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for their compassionate care.

Burial and committal prayers will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 12 p.m.
