The next Art Walk L/A begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24. In-person arts experiences downtown include drumming by Taiko Maine Dojo, a Portland-based community taiko drumming group that seeks to share Japanese culture through the unifying spirit of kumi-daiko; performances by Bates College a cappella groups the Merimanders, the Deansmen, and the Crosstones; at the LA Arts Gallery exhibiting artist Tom Jessen will share an interactive art making game with guests; and the final Music in the Parks concert this season will feature local hip hop and reggae bands.
