Liane B. (Doyon) DeChamplain

LEWISTON – Liane B. DeChamplain (née Doyon) aged 96 of Lewiston, Maine, died Friday, September 24, 2021, at Clover Manor in Auburn. Born in Milan, NH on September 17, 1925, she was the daughter of Napoleon and Marie Anne Doyon (née Lacasse). She married Leo DeChamplain on February 9, 1946. They raised two daughters in Connecticut where she worked in the insurance industry and food service, whereafter they moved to Maine.

As one of Jehovah’s witnesses for the past 71 years, she enjoyed sharing her Bible based hope of living forever on a paradise Earth where perfect life, peace and an end to death are promised. She is survived by her daughters, Diane Edmonds and her husband Stephen, Annette Derave and her husband Jean-Jacques, grandsons Jeremy Poitras, Nathan Derave and his wife Amy, Daniel Derave and his wife Tiffany, great-granddaughters Madison, Grace, and Chloe. She also leaves behind three sisters; Julie Bonsaint, Teresa Lajoie, and Simone Racine along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Leo, her parents, a sister Marie Blanche Doyon, a brother Adrian (Bob) Doyon and sister Jeanette Moore.

We wish to thank the nurses and other personnel at Clover Manor who cared so well for her during her stay. A Memorial Service will be held electronically for friends and family on Saturday, October 9, at 1 PM. Please contact the family for details.
