DARK SKIES EVENT
Join John Meader of Northern Stars Planetarium & Dark Skies Maine to learn about our stars and more.
One of the simplest yet most awe-inspiring joys of being in Rangeley is the dark night sky. Far from the lights of a major population center, it explodes with celestial bodies.
Many visitors are amazed by the brilliance of the Milky Way, shooting stars, and other cosmic wonders visible with the naked eye.
RLHT is part of a group that hopes to make Rangeley New England’s first International Dark Sky Community, certified by the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA).
This event will take place at the old Ecoventure Campus. Please remember to wear warm clothes as it tends to get cool at night. This is a family event, children should not come unsupervised. This event is open to the public.
Registration required.
