JAY — More than 15 headstones were tipped over and at least one broken in the older section of Jay Hill Cemetery on Cemetery Road, which is off Route 4, police Chief Richard Caton IV said Monday.
The Public Works Department discovered the vandalism while mowing Friday and reported it, he said.

The damage, of which there is no estimate, was done before Friday.
Officer Dan Demers is investigating.
