CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Regis A. Provost, 97, died Oct. 1, 2021, at his home in Coral Springs, where he lived for the past 12 years.Mr. Provost was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey (Marlier) Provost and three siblings, Andre Provost of Sacramento, Calif., Janine Provost of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Adrien Provost of Fort Lauderdale. Mr. Provost was a native of Lewiston. His parents, Adrien and Marie Louise (Bresson) Provost, owned and operated P&P Fuel Co. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, achieving the rank of sergeant. After meeting in Maine, Mr. and Mrs. Provost spent several years there, moving their family to Fort Lauderdale in 1956. He worked for Florida Power & Light Co. for 31 years, retiring in 1988. Mr. Provost is survived by five children; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He will be interred next to his wife Oct. 22 at South Florida National Cemetery.
