Dear Rangeley,
I went to Rangeley to turn in keys etc. and get some personal items. Pretty tough, but proud of what was accomplished. So many great times that I am so grateful for. I am a rich man, thank you!
I have made the journey from Rangeley to New Vineyard twice a day for years. It’s a pretty commute and was always made easier because my destination on both ends was so worth the trip! I thank my wife Rhonda for her patience and support all those years because from May to October, I was not as available and supportive as a husband should be. But she knew I was doing something I just loved doing. Thanks, Honey. I am a rich man.
I was understandably pretty blue on the drive home, but cheering my self up with thoughts of “what might be next” and all the good things in my life! I was then gifted with a complete arching rainbow in that gorgeous valley between Saddleback and Mt. Abram.
Tears flowed down to the corners of a smile. Some would call it serendipity, but not I. I know that it’s beauty brought something special and Devine to each of the hundreds of folks who probably saw it. Just like Rangeley does. Just like home does.
I am so grateful for all the friendships and all the unbelievable support expressed in so many ways that has allowed me to play a small part of such a spectacular community for so many years. Please continue to support the museums and efforts of the Rangeley Lakes Historical Society.
Stay safe and take care of each other.
All the Best,
Bill Pierce
