AUBURN — Natalie Brocke scored a pair of goals to lead the St. Dominic Academy girls soccer team to a 5-0 Western Maine Conference win over Sacopee Valley on Tuesday.

Jessie Zimmerman assisted on one of Brocke’s goals and also scored a goal of her own. Avery Gravel and Bella Webster also scored for the Saints (4-10), and Emma Roy and Charli Apodaca recorded assists.

Jordan Wedgewood made eight saves for the Hawks (0-14), while Anna Theriault stopped seven shots for St. Dom’s to secure the shutout.

MARANACOOK 1, LEAVITT 0: Emily Harper’s goal with 15 minutes left in the second half led the Black Bears to a win over the Hornets in Readfield.

A Grace Dwyer pass floated in front of the net, where Harper met the ball and nailed a shot for the score.

Maranacook finishes the regular season with a 12-1-1 record.

“This was great for us, this is what we needed before the playoffs, a tough, physical game,” Maranacook head coach Travis Magnusson said after the game.

Leavitt falls to 4-7-3.

BOYS SOCCER
LEAVITT 3, MARANACOOK 0: Kaden Trenoweth scored twice for the Hornets (7-5-2) in a win over the Black Bears (5-7-2) in Turner.

Cooper McGray had a a goal and an assist in the win. Garrett Gaudin also had an assist, while Myles Hanscom made three saves for Leavitt.

SACOPEE VALLEY 5, ST. DOMINIC 1: Jonah Naratil and Kaleb Nathaniel each scored twice as the Hawks (5-7-2) beat the Saints (2-11) in Hiram.

Jacob Early also scored for the Hawks. Goalkeeper Ryan Leighton made four saves.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 7, BOOTHBAY/WISCASSET 0: Owen Bryant and Kaleb Finelli scored two goals apiece for the Phoenix (6-5-1) in a win over the Wolverines (0-12-0) in Wiscasset.

Lucas Towers, Ian York and Caleb Shaw each added a goal and Jacob Shaw made seven saves for Spruce Mountain.

LJ Travers made five saves for Boothbay/Wiscasset.

VOLLEYBALL
BRUNSWICK/MT. ARARAT 3, LEWISTON 0: The Dragon (5-9) defeated the Blue Devils (1-13) in three sets 25-21, 25-21, and 25-20 in Brunswick.

Sage Cormier, who recently signed to pay volleyball at Central Maine Community College, tallied five aces, four kills and two blocks for Lewiston. Maddie Oliveira had seven assists, seven digs and two aces in the losing effort, while Kaitlyn Shannon had three digs, two aces and two kills and Kenzie Garcia contributed a solo block and two kills for the Blue Devils.
