A storm will bring rain and wind to Maine on Saturday, but conditions will improve just in time for trick-or-treating Sunday.

Clouds and showers will kick off the weekend. The steadiest rainfall develops during Saturday afternoon, with downpours during the evening.

Much of Maine will pick up 1-3 inches of new rainfall. Winds will be gusty at the coast Saturday evening and night, with most peak gusts between 30 mph and 40 mph.

Nothing spooky is expected with Sunday’s weather. Sunday evening looks comfortable with temperatures in the 50s. We likely will not need to cover up costumes with jackets.

The weather pattern will stay quiet for the first half of next week.
