In my 83 years on this earth, I have never seen or heard such a great piece of legislation as the Build Back Better bill that is being debated in Congress now.

As the country waits for the final decision of this bill, I think of John F. Kennedy and his dream of a better society. I am sure he would have loved this bold attack on poverty and entitlement.

Inspired by the great American Robert Frost, and his poem “The Road Not Taken,” we actually have a choice now. And we must take the right road to a brighter future for everyone, for all people.

In my family, quality, safe, affordable child care is difficult to find and sometimes not even available. The Build Back Better bill would guarantee that our children will have a good stepping stone to their future.

I urge our congressional representatives in Washington to vote yes on this bill.
