Wilbur O. Souther

LIVERMORE FALLS – Wilbur O. Souther, 77, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family following a lingering illness. He was born January 6, 1944 in Livermore Falls, the son of Leroy E. Souther, Jr. and Melvina (Clark) Souther. He was a 1963 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. He married Patty Berthaume and they had three children, Julie, Tommy and Melissa. Wilbur worked at International Paper Company at the Androscoggin Mill in Jay until his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, playing chess with his friends, an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and especially time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter and caretaker, Melissa Theriault of Livermore Falls, grandson, Michael Souther and wife Gretchen of Carthage, granddaughters, Lynda Theriault of Livermore Falls and Tricia Faye Souther Bowering of Wilton; great-grandchildren, Gracelynn Theriault, his “little buddy” Oliver Souther, and Delilah Theriault, brothers, Waldo Souther, Clark Souther and his wife, Helen and Ernest Souther and his wife Rhonda all of Livermore Falls, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Leroy and Melvina, his infant daughter, Julie Souther, his son, Tommy Souther, and former wife, Patty Souther.
