Debra “Debbie” A. Stevens

MINOT – Debra “Debbie” A. Stevens, loving wife, mother, Mimi, daughter, sister, co-worker and friend, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021. Debbie was the daughter of John and Mary Louise (Driscoll) Ford, born Sept. 21, 1963, in Lewiston, Maine. She lived in Minot most of her life and attended Minot schools, graduating from Edward Little High School with the class of 1981. After graduation, she worked for a short time at Etonic Shoe, Prudential Insurance for many years and most recently Liberty Mutual Insurance for the past 25 years. She made many friends along the way with co-workers drawn to her outgoing spirit, friendly personality and wonderful laugh. On Sept. 12, 1987, she married the love of her life, James Stevens in Minot, where they built their home and raised two children, Amanda and Eric. Debbie loved living life, was always up for an adventure, and enjoyed gathering with family, particularly her six grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Debbie enjoyed being outside and active, her interests included snowmobiling, camping, walking/hiking and boating.

She leaves behind her husband of 34 years, parents, daughter Amanda Knights married to Danny and their daughter Daphne and twin boys Milo and Maverick, along with son Eric Stevens, married to Erica, and their daughters Evelyn, Emilia, and Ellie with one baby on the way, Sister Tina (Steve) Love, Mother-in-law Maxine Stevens, Sister-in-laws Carla Pottle and Pam Stevens, nieces and nephews, Katie Sturtevant, Austin Love, Kayla Sampson, Marshal Roy and Tyler Pottle. She was a Great Aunt to several with one great niece on the way. She was loved dearly and will be enormously missed; however, her family is comforted, knowing she is now at peace. The family would like to thank the CMMC Oncology/Infusion Center Staff, with special thanks to Dr. Erickson and Julie Booker NP for their love and care over the last 13 years. An additional thank you to Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice (Paulette RN) who provided needed support in her final days.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 15 at 11 a.m. at Chandler Funeral Home, 26 W. Dwinal St., Mechanic Falls.
