Helen M. Boyd
AUBURN – Helen M. Boyd, 92, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Clover Manor. She was born in Livermore, on March 14, 1929 to Ralph and Ernestine (Coffin) Sleeper. She grew up in Mechanic Falls, attending Mechanic Falls High School. She met the love of her life, husband Lloyd Boyd, Sr., together they started Boyd’s Auction Barn. Prior to that she had worked at Marcal Paper for years. She enjoyed cooking for events at the Auction Barn. She also enjoyed sewing and loved raising her five children and spending time with family.She is survived by her daughter Barbara Stevens of Poland, three sons, Donald Boyd and wife MaryAnn of Mechanic Falls, Dan Boyd and wife Debra of Poland and Jeff Boyd and wife Darlene of Mechanic Falls, a brother, Ralph Sleeper and wife Mary of Poland, daughter-in-law, Debra Boyd of Greene, 11 grandchildren, Troy, Toby, Matt, Megan, Scott, Jason, Sarah, Donald, Kenneth, Amanda and Allison, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Lloyd, her son Lloyd Boyd, Jr. “Chip” and brother (Pete) Walter.Funeral services will be held at Chandler Funeral Home, 26 West Dwinal Street, Mechanic Falls, on Saturday, November 20 at 1:00pm with interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanic Falls.
