Patrick R. Cyr
LEWISTON – Patrick R. Cyr, 72, of Sabattus, passed away at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Nov. 9, 2021. With extreme sadness, Pat gave up his hard-working hands for his heavenly wings, he had a great faith and love in our Lord and he is with Him now.
Born in Lewiston on July 20, 1949, he was the son of Alyre and Therese Bougie Cyr. Growing up in Sabattus, Pat was educated at Our Lady of the Rosary and public schools. He worked in the woods with his father, worked for Don Everett at Supersonic Car Wash, and started his own family business, Pat Cyr Trucking in 1966. He started Sabattus Auto and Truck Sales because of his love of trucks and cars in 1980. He was active on the Sabattus planning board for many years. He had a love of music and old movies, Nascar racing and old cars and trucks. Pat was “lost in the ‘50s,” he said “those were the good old days,” and was a proud supporter and listener of WLAM 1470 AM. He had a contagious laugh and smile; he will be sadly missed by so many. Pat was a loving husband and father, father-in-law, grandfather, godfather, uncle, brother, nephew, cousins and good friend to many.
