LEWISTON – Christine M. Ray, 78, of Sabattus, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. Born in Lewiston on Nov. 3, 1943, she was the daughter of Armand and Winnifred Gayton Pinard. A lifelong resident of Sabattus, Christine attended local schools and was a graduate of Sabattus High School, class of ‘62. On Feb. 17, 1962, she married the love of her life, Donald J. Ray. Christine worked in the local shoe industry for many years, often besides her husband, and was an Avon representative for many years. She enjoyed reading, knitting, and was always up for any adventure.Besides her husband of 59 years, she is survived by three daughters, Sherry and husband Chris Peck of Bowdoinham, Wanda and husband Roger Bourget of Litchfield, and Cindy Ray of Turner, three brothers, Tom Pinard and wife Sandy, Ron Pinard and wife Trudy, and David Pinard and wife Candy, all of Sabattus, a sister, Barbie Cyr of Sabattus, two grandchildren, Travis and wife Susana Johnson, and Reanne Johnson, and two great-grandchildren, Alex St. Amand and Allorha Johnson. She was predeceased by both parents, a brother, Michael Pinard.A celebration of her life will be held next summer, details to be announced. Memories may be shared at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
