Paul E. Chouinard
LEWISTON – Paul E. Chouinard, “Chew”, was born Jan. 24, 1937 and died Nov. 15, 2021. He was the son of Gerard and Imelda Michaud Chouinard.Paul grew up in the Lewiston Auburn area working in many shoe shops in his younger days. In 1964 he married the love of his life, Shirley Gagne and together they lived and worked in Lewiston, Auburn, August, Portland and retring in Florida. Paul returned to Maine after the death of his wife and made his home with his two sisters until his death.Paul is survived by his son, Phillip of Portland, grandchildren, Sophia and Ethan, sisters, Jeannine Lemelin and Laurie Chouinard and a very special sister-in-law, Diane Chouinard of Auburn and many nieces and nephews. He was predceased by his parents, wife and brother Albert.A special thank you to Peggy, Crystal and Jamie from Becan Hospice for the great care they gave Paul the last 15 months.
