Patricia M. Doucette

LEWISTON – Patricia M. Doucette, 75, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, with her loving daughter by her side.Born in Lewiston on May 6, 1942, she was the daughter of Carroll and Alberta Nelson. Patty (as most knew her) was a graduate of Lewiston High School, class of 1964. She was a local business owner and held a variety of jobs over the course of her life. Most recently she was employed at Hudson Bus Lines as a bus monitor. Patty absolutely loved being surrounded by children.Patty’s passion was making and teaching ceramics for over 45 years. She also loved to crochet for her loved ones and make cards for every one of their occasions. Patty’s warmth and love could often be found in knitted blankets and pishoes. She was devoted to her family and some of her favorite memories included boating and cooking for everyone at their camp on Tacoma Lakes.She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Not only did she love her family fiercely but Patty loved her many fur babies she had over the course of her life – almost all of which were adopted from the animal shelter. Patty’s heart was always open to those who needed it and she always made those around her feel loved and important.She is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband of 55 years, Roland Doucette; her son Michael Doucette and wife Rachel; her daughter Joyce Lepage and husband John all of Lewiston. Four grandchildren, Stephanye Doucette and fiance Shane Sagers of Sidney; Derrick Doucette and wife Brittany of Livermore; Allyson LeClair and husband Joseph of Levant and Thomas Lepage and fiance Jessica Cote of Portland. Patty was also blessed with three great grandchildren Jack and Brynn LeClair, Carter Doucette and soon to be sister. Patricia is also survived by her brother Robert Nelson and wife Peggy of Florida and many nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank the staff working at the CMMC intensive care unit and her hospice nurse Sarah for their compassionate care during Patricia’s unexpected, short battle with Covid-19.A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, Nov. 26, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, 11 a.m., at the Pinette, Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home located at 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway in Lewiston 784-4023.Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at http://www.lynchbrothers.com .The family would like to ask in lieu of flowers to please donate to Androscoggin Humane Society in Patricia’s name.
