Daniel R. Theriault

PORTLAND – Daniel R. Theriault, 66, a resident of Trapp Road, Auburn, passed away on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at Maine Medical Center, from a short and hard fought battle with cancer. He was born in Lewiston on July 16, 1955, the son of Robert and Lucille (Bonin) Theriault.
Danny attended Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School Class of 1973. After graduating Danny started working for C.W. Hayden out of Auburn. He continued to work for C.W. Hayden as a delivery driver for 48 years until his retirement in October 2021.
He later met and married the love of his life Kellie (Dowling) Theriault on July 29, 2000.
Danny was a lifetime member of the New Auburn Social Club, lifetime member of the Auburn VFW and member of the American Legion Post 153 in Auburn.
He enjoyed going and watching his son Justin play football from elementary all the way through high school for Edward Little. Danny also enjoyed working in his garden, planting flowers around the house, cooking for his family and friends, he always took great pride in his cooking as it was something that he remembered learning from his mother and enjoyed sharing the recipes that he had learned with his family during the holidays and enjoyed dressing as Santa for the Christmas Parties. Danny will always be remembered as a hardworking man and someone that could light up a room with his smile and laugh and always loving to sing at karaoke at the Legion, “You know what I mean”.
He is survived by his loving wife Kellie Theriault , their son Justin Theriault, two sisters; Claire Hebert and her husband Carl and Celine Theriault, a brother Peter Theriault and his wife Anna all of Auburn, and by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Robert Theriault in 2012 and Lucille Theriault in 2005, a sister Debra Ann in 1988 and three brothers; Ronald in 2000, and both John and Roger in 2021.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Dec. 1, at 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, Nov. 30, from 5-7 p.m., at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston, Maine, 04240. 784-4023.
