Marc A. Letendre

LIVERMORE – Marc A. Letendre, 70, a resident of Livermore passed away Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family and with the support of Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice.

He was born Jan. 22, 1951 in Lewiston, the son of Alfred Letendre and Gratienne (Bolduc) Letendre. He was a graduate of Lewiston High School. Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served from 1970 to 1974 in the Transportation Division in Thailand and Arizona during the Vietnam War.

On May 31, 1981, in New Gloucester, he married Cheryl Ann Weeks. Through the years he worked at International Paper Company at the Androscoggin Mill in Jay, later as a fuel technician, then a long-haul truck driver, and most recently as owner/operator of Dube’s Redemption in Jay.

He enjoyed hiking, camping, picnics with his children when they were young. Marc was always up for a good action movie, he was not afraid of taking on DIY projects at home, and spent a lot of time taking care of his property on Butter Hill. He enjoyed teaching new skills to his loved ones, and had as much fun “stirring the pot”. He was loyal to his friends and Marc was known to help a stranger in a heartbeat. He will be remembered as a man devoted to God, his Lord and Savior, a dedicated husband and father and a very hard worker.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cheryl Letendre of Livermore; daughter, Renee Sherman and husband Ryan of Wales, sons Jacob Letendre and wife Jennifer, and David Letendre; grandchildren ,Kenley and Alyse Letendre all of Livermore; his sisters Anita Letendre of Westbrook, Nancy Beaudette and husband Lucien of Lewiston and Annette Letendre of Springvale.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Interment Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Rd., Augusta. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls.
