Maxine G. Stevens
LEWISTON – Maxine G. Stevens, 86, a resident of Leeds, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at Montello Manor in Lewiston. She was born Sept. 24, 1935, in Readfield, the daughter of Osborn Wells and Lucille (Tucker) Wells.
She attended school in Monmouth. On April 6, 1962, in Greene she married Frank Lewis Stevens. They enjoyed 48 years together before his passing on April 28, 2010. She worked as a dietician aide at Green Acres Nursing Home and Bolster Heights Nursing Home. She was an auxiliary member of V.F.W. Post #1603 in Auburn. She enjoyed cooking and family time.
She is survived by her son, James Stevens of Minot, her daughters; Carla Pottle of Greene, Pamela Stevens of Lewiston; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way; three brothers, Arthur, Lawrence, and Kenneth Wells and sisters, Eleanor Brennen, and Norma Wells. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, her brother, Linwood Wells; and a daughter-in-law, Debra Stevens.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., Dec. 10, 2021, at the V.F.W. Post #1603, 588 Minot Ave., Auburn, Maine 04210. Interment will be at 12 p.m. on Dec. 13 at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, Maine. Arrangements by BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 707 Main Street, Monmouth, Maine.
