Conrad A. Robinson
MINOT – Conrad A. Robinson, 87, of Hersey Hill Road, died Monday Dec. 13, 2021 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born in Auburn on April 20, 1934, a son of the late Marshall and Everdene (Luce) Robinson.
Conrad married his true love, the former Carol Walton, on Dec. 22, 1956. He was a logger for many years working for himself and also for Maschino Lumber.
Conrad was a founding member of The Auburn Snow Groomers, and a member of the Minot Moonshiners Snowmobile Club and the Center Minot Grange. He was a very caring and selfless man, always willing to help anyone in need especially his family and all he wanted for payment was to see a smile on their face.
His family meant the world to him and he loved every opportunity to see them, whether at family outings or following his children and later his grandchildren in all their endeavors. He also enjoyed playing Santa every year and seeing the children’s faces light up. He had a wealth of knowledge when it came to fixing and building things and he enjoyed sharing this with his family especially when it came to woodworking.
Conrad loved nature. He would sit at the kitchen table and watch the birds for hours, he was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting. He also enjoyed watching his beloved Red Sox.
He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Carol Robinson of Minot; his three children, Cindy Robinson of Minot, Sandy Miller and husband Luther of Connecticut, and Tim Robinson and wife Jodii of Sabattus; a sister, Charlene Partee of Florida; his seven grandchildren, Jennifer Shaw and her companion Robert Bilodeau of Lewiston, Jeremy Shaw and companion Brandi Cushman of Mechanic Falls, Ryan Miller and companion Ari Sanders of Connecticut, Trevor Miller and companion Amanda Massa of Connecticut, Kyle Miller of Connecticut, Alexander and Connor Robinson both of Sabattus; a great-granddaughter, Bailey Rose Shaw of New York; and several nieces and nephews.
