North Auburn Grange will have a home cooked food sale at North Auburn Grange Hall next Saturday at 2 o’clock under the auspices of the dramatic committee. A great variety of food will be especially welcome.

50 Years Ago: 1971

Lewiston Auburn New Years Baby, David Clarence Fickett Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. David Fickett Sr. of 197 Pride Road in Auburn was born Saturday, Jan 1 at 3:10 am at Central Maine General Hospital, weighing 9 pounds and three ounces. The Ficketts also have a young daughter, Yvonne Rachel aged 2 and a half.

25 Years Ago: 1996

Four Auburn girls are competing for the title of Maine’s Our Little Miss in the state pageant to be held in June. Chosen as participants in Our Little Miss Beauty and Talent Pageant auditions held recently at the Eagles Club in Augusta were Susan Russell,12, daughter of Mrs. Cynthia B. Russell of 229 Winter Street, Rosemarie Samson, eight, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Real A. Samson, 528 Park Avenue, Tammy Pinkham, 13, and Cindy Lemieux, nine, both daughters of Mrs. Jacqueline Lemieux, Snell Hill Road. They will compete in the 7 to 12 years of age division.
