Sidney Jones III

ANDOVER – Sidney Jones III, 75, died Thursday Dec. 23, 2021, at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. He was a resident of Andover, Maine. Born in Rumford, on June 30, 1946, he was a son of Sidney and Eldora (Cayer) Jones II. Sidney was a graduate of Andover High School. He served in the US Army from 1965 to 1967 and was stationed in Korea. He worked as a logger most of his life and his hobbies included hunting, fishing and sharing stories with friends at the local store.He is survived by his daughter Michele Tibbetts and husband Michael of Poland, a brother Roger Jones and wife Susan of Gray, and a sister Laura Jones Piawlock of South Paris, special friends Jason Cole and family and Kayce Gilbert and familyFriends and family are invited to sign the online guest book and share memories with the family at http://www.meaderandson.com.Funeral services will be held in the spring.
