Diane S. Charpentier
ROCHESTER, N.H. – Diane S. Charpentier, 66, of 22 Darby Lane, Rochester, N.H., died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, at the Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, N.H. Born in Lewiston on Oct. 8, 1955, she was the daughter of Donald L. and Rita M. Boisvert Martin. Educated in Lewiston schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, class of ‘73. In July of 1992, she left Maine to be with the love of her life, Charles L. Charpentier Jr., who was serving on active duty in the United States Navy, stationed in San Diego, Calif. They were married on Nov. 20, 1992. Diane was currently working as an Account Manager for Wella Company, an international hair color and hair care products company. She loved to knit and was an exceptional cook, with a twist of French-Canadian cuisine. She was always available to lend her loving ear to anyone who needed comfort. She adored her nine grandchildren more than anything. They will miss the way she used to tease them when music was playing on the radio, she would say to them, “hey guys, lucky for you I know the words to this song” and attempt to sing the songs, but unfortunately she could not carry a tune. Then the grandchildren would laugh and respond with “Mimi please stop, you can’t sing”. We’d all laugh and get a big kick out of that. Besides her husband Charles of Rochester, NH, she is survived by her two Sons, Gerald Boilard, Jr. of Rochester, NH, and Kevin and wife Kristi Boilard of Lewiston, Stepdaughter Katie and husband Randen Baker of Manchester, and Stepson Cory and wife Emily Charpentier of Fairfield. Two Brothers, Joseph Martin of Lewiston, and Raymond and wife Kim Martin of Augusta, and two Sisters Denise Martin and partner Cindy Varrell of Poland Springs, and Irene Peaslee of Winthrop. She has eight Grandchildren: Morgan and Gerald Boilard III; Hailey and Ariana Charpentier; Kayden Boilard; Thurston Moore; and Lillian and Bryson Baker. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a Sister, Anne Parent, and granddaughter Allyson Boilard.Visitation will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 7, from 12 – 2 p.m., followed by a Liturgy of the Word Service at 2 p.m. Interment at a later date, Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
