Judith D. (Larson) Howe

NORWAY – Judith D. (Larson) Howe, 77, passed away on Dec. 27, 2021, after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 21, 1944, in Norway, Maine. The daughter of George and Mary (Taulbee) Larson. Judith attended Norway High School, graduating from Oxford Hills High School. She married David Howe on Dec. 8, 1962, and they just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.

In 1972 they moved to Springvale, Maine where they raised their two daughters and resided there for 46 years before returning to Norway, Maine, in 2019.

She worked numerous manufacturing jobs until finding her favorite position managing the Treasure Chest Hallmark Store in Sanford. Her marriage to David was filled with traveling and camping with family and friends, which included many trips to the Moosehead Lake region. Her most enjoyment in her life was her two granddaughters, Morgan and Karissa. She spent many hours playing, shopping, and just spending time with them. She was extremely proud of the beautiful individuals they became. She was thrilled to become a great grandmother and to watch Morgan and Karissa become Mothers.

Judith is survived by her husband, David Howe of Norway; daughter Penny Lowe and husband Paul of Oxford, daughter Sharlene Howe and husband Gerald McCoy of Waterboro; granddaughters Morgan Lowe and significant other, Chris Parise, of Bradenton, FL and Karissa Rau and husband Jared of Rutland, Vt.; great granddaughters Sage Parise and Bradi Rau; sister Joan Hill and husband Stephen of Oxford, brothers Joseph Larson and wife Barbara of Spring, Texas, Charles Larson and wife Betty of South Paris, and John Larson of Waterford; and sister-in-law Judith Larson of Imperial Beach, Calif.; along with many nieces and nephews.

Judith was predeceased by her parents George and Mary Larson and her brother George Larson of Imperial Beach, Calif.
