It was in amazement I read in the Jan. 19 Sun Journal about the push to do away with labels such as “prisoner,” “inmate,” “repeat offender” and “drug user” (“Changes eyed to strip ‘prisoners’ and ‘inmates’ from Maine’s statute books“).
Are we seriously going to waste taxpayer dollars on this? This is just one more way we are “dumbing down” America.
How about we hold people accountable for their actions instead of making excuses and enabling them to stay in the cycle they have chosen to live in?
