Angela Anita Simond

AUBURN – Angela Anita Simond, 39, of Auburn passed away after a three week battle of Covid. By the Grace of God, she went to heaven peacefully being held by her family. Born Feb. 25, 1982, in Lewiston to Mark and Pauline Murphy Simond, Angela was a sparkle, a unique child here to touch everyone’s lives a little differently for the better. Angela’s life started with a disability. She was a pioneer of the 80’s and part of the first generation of Spina Bifida Children to survive and thrive. Despite her medical and physical challenges, Angela’s world was huge. Community, social events and the internet kept her busy creating new connections. She built a multitude of relationships to add to her love and devotion of her family. She spent childhood at No Name Pond with sisters, Nicole and Kristi. Angela attended Pine Tree Camps for two weeks each summer which was a special highlight. Lifelong memories and friendships with her peers and counselors were made including Katherine Azeez and Shawnee Ortiz. Angela loved projects in crafting, photography, writing and nature. She loved her cat Lilly and will be remembered for her infectious laugh.Survivors include her parents, Mark Simond, Pauline Simond Murphy, stepmom Darsi Simond, sisters, Nicole and Kristi Simond, step brother Kevin Sanborn and grandparents, Raymond and Denise Simond, Anita Iler and Irving And Rebecca Bradstreet.A springtime celebration will be held by her parents in her honor.
