UMAINE-FARMINGTON 70, THOMAS 52: Tia Day and Page Brown matched each other with a game-high 15 points and the Beavers jumped ahead early and cruised to an NAC victory over the Terriers in Farmington.
Bea Stafford added 11 points off the bench for the Beavers.
Anna Piirainen led Thomas with 14 points and Sam Fortin pitched in with 13.
CMCC COACH MILESTONE: Central Maine Community College women’s basketball coach Andrew Morong recorded his 250th win with the Mustangs in Sunday’s 81-49 victory over Community College of Rhode Island.
Morong has amassed a record of 250-46 overall and 126-14 mark in Yankee Conference play during his nine-plus years at the helm of the Mustangs program, which has included two USCAA national championships.
