OXFORD — The Oxford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 56-year-old John Gleason, last seen more than a week ago.

Gleason, from the Oxford area, is described as 6-foot-1, 220 pounds, with blue eyes, gray hair and has a scar on his right hip, said Oxford police Capt. Rickie S. Jack.  He was reported missing on Monday, Jan. 24.

Gleason has ties to the Oxford Hills area, Massachusetts and possibly the Portland area. He was last known to be wearing a red ball cap, gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and tan boots.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Oxford Police Department through the Oxford County Dispatch at 207-743-9554, Ext. 2.
