HEBRON — Beth Francis of the Hebron Historical Society recently briefed members and guests on her production of the Town’s historical panels for displaying in the Maine State Parade last year. Through countless calls and interviews, she amassed a significant collection of Hebron data and photographs reflecting over 200 years to the present time.
Besides the huge history panels constructed for the parade, she voluntarily initiated, and hopes to continue, with the help of the Society, collecting additional history for a booklet containing this information for eventual publication for the public interest. The panels are currently hanging on display at the Hebron Town Office and at the Hebron Station School.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
