GREENE — Town Manager Darlene Beaulieu is retiring after two years on the job, Select Board Chairman Anthony Reny announced Monday night.
Reny praised her work and commitment to the town during the board meeting. Other selectmen thanked Beaulieu for her service.
Beaulieu came to Greene in June of 2020 after working as an administrative assistant in Whitefield.
During her time in Greene, Beaulieu was sometimes criticized for her conduct and blamed for the closure of the transfer station on Sundays.
Her last day will be March 4. Selectmen will begin the search for a new town manager immediately.
