WOODSTOCK — These Telstar Middle School students have a creative way to raise money for Buck’s Ledge Community Forest. Alyssa Norton and Cadence Campbell charge money for a sled ride on an inflatable hot dog. To date, they have raised $89.00 toward purchasing Buck’s Ledge.
Art teacher Mrs. Prescott introduced both a community art project and the need for fundraising money. Alyssa and Cadence wanted to get kids outside. They purchased the inflatable hotdog on Amazon and started selling rides to Telstar students after school. They
use the air compressor at school to inflate the hotdog. Sunday they offered rides at Mahoosuc Land Trust Valentine Farm as part of the Winter Fest activities.
