The Wailin’ Jennys plan to take the stage at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Sone Mountain Music Center, 695 Dugway Road in Brownfield.
Having three distinct voices that together make an achingly perfect vocal sound, The Wailin’ Jennys began as a happy accident of solo singer-songwriters getting together for a one-time-only performance at a tiny guitar shop in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Jennys have since exploded onto the roots music scene, performing live at packed venues across the world.
The latest album, “Fifteen,” celebrates a 15-year musical partnership for Moody, Mehta and Masse, creating three award-winning, Billboard-charting studio albums and one magical live recording resulting in a loyal worldwide fanbase. While performing these songs live, the Jennys and their band, weave banjo, guitar, mandolin, viola and violin which perfectly blend in and compliment their hauntingly ethereal vocals. Now, with all three of the Jennys having young children, coupled with living in two countries and different sides of the North American continent, they still make it go right to fit in touring so they can bring their music, steeped in artistry and elegance, to their fans and maybe make several more along the way.
Tickets cost $110.
