DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have a beautiful, machine-knit, printed town of Harrison bicentennial throw that was a gift. Shortly after I received it, a wayward mouse got at it and caused some damage. I have most of the threads that were left after it was chewed away in three different places. Is there anyone out there who could repair this with weaving or otherwise work their magic?—Linda, Turner
ANSWER: Those darn mice. It seems they have been extra prolific and busy this past winter. I suggest you get some new matching thread/yarn and darn the holes, if they are not too large.
Perhaps another reader with some experience will write to Sun Spots and offer to help you if you are not able to take on the task. You can also reach out to a store that sells yarn, embroidery thread and other sewing materials to see if staff members know of anyone who can assist you.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In response to the request in the March 31 Sun Spots, ladies’ handkerchiefs are available on the Walmart website. I do not know if they are in the store. Handkerchiefs are also available on The Vermont Country Store website, where they are on sale.—Peg, no town

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Perhaps the reader who was trying to remember the name of the Chinese restaurant on Lisbon Street (March 23 Sun Spots) was referring to the Joy Inn. It was on the second floor of a building near the corner of Lisbon and Main streets. I remember going there with my parents when I was barely into my teens, way back in the 1940s.—No name, Auburn
ANSWER: Our Sun Spotter was not going back quite that far. Her memory is from the 1970s or 1980s, and she is searching for the Chinese restaurant at a specific address — 1103 Lisbon St.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I saw that there was a response to the March 23 inquiry about the name of the Chinese restaurant on Lisbon Street back in the late 1970s or early 1980s called Panda Express. The actual name was Hong Kong Express and, yes, the food was delicious. I am sure there are readers who can remember. Debra, no town
