Robert M. “Bob” Poulin

LEWISTON – Robert M. “Bob” Poulin, 78, of Lewiston passed away on April 2, 2022, in the comfort of his home and the loving support of his wife and daughter.

Bob was born on March 10, 1944, one of four children to the late Antonio and Annette (Asselin) Poulin. He was educated in Lewiston schools, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1962. In April of 1967 he married the love of his life, Joanne Hebert. Together, they made their home in Lewiston and raised their daughter Christine.

Bob was owner of Antonio Poulin and Sons until its closure. A people person, Bob then took his career in the sales direction. Bob owned and operated an agency liquor store in Wilton for many years. He then went on to work at the Rowe family of dealerships, selling Volkswagens and Mazdas, and attaining the position of dealer swap manager. After leaving Rowe, Bob worked several years at Hannaford.

Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus, having achieved the level of Fourth Degree Knight. During his 57 years as a Knight, he served a spell as treasurer as well as council president. He also enjoyed fishing with his family, golfing, hunting, and activities with his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, his daughter Christine and her husband Lucien Richard, his grandchildren, Michael Richard and wife Meagan, and Nathan Richard, his brother, Bert (Rolande) Poulin, sister-in-law Marilyn Poulin, brother-in-law Ray Landry, sister-in-law Louella (John) Fortunato, sister-in-law Barbara (Maurice) Moreau, brother-in-law Daniel (Linda) Hebert, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his sister Lorraine (Ray) Landry, his brother Roger Poulin, his father-in-law Edward Hebert, his mother-in-law Jeanne Hebert, brother-in-law Richard Hebert, sister-in-law Mariette Hebert, and sister-in-law Gloria Grenham.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Fortin Group on 70 Horton Street in Lewiston on Friday, April 8, from 4-7 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 9, at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston.
